Francis Florendo found his love for dance in 2010. After being a member on iLL Habits, he went on to direct 220, and also became the Head Coach at Torrey Pines High School in 2018. It being one of his current jobs now, he has obtained 1st place national titles, along with other awards like “Best Choreography”, and “Best In Hip Hop Gold” . In addition, he also currently directs iLL Mommas, founded in 2022, which pushes the boundaries of Hip Hop amongst mothers with a team that has the age range of 35-62 years old. Through this company, he has provided many opportunities for these mothers, and has allowed them to share the space in the community, sending a message to mothers out there that they too can go out and dance.
Aside from coaching and directing, he also participated in the Pre-Broadway show “Karate Kid” in 2022 under the choreography of Keone and Mari. His overall passion from dance derives from the hard work his students, teammates, and dance mothers put in at rehearsals and the growth they achieve in that journey. With love, balance, and growth in mind, Francis stays motivated to push the boundaries of the individuals he works with, while keeping a fun environment.
